what's personality by ~kinnchidots
Suggester says: "It makes you question what you're truly looking at. Something about the idea of suffocating superficiality is a personal issue within myself and others who feel trapped in this "looks-are-everything" world. Who cares if you're wearing a plastic bag over your body, it's the personality that counts, right?" (

Very good photo, the white text really stands out, but still fit's the generall feeling of it all.
To the message: But what if you're like me, and have a terribly boring personality despite trying everything to change that? Which is why I work out really hard and pay a lot of attention to looks, because my personality just pushes people away. Or just bores them away I guess, I don't know... Anyhow, what are people like me supposed to do?
Thanks for commenting. That's what I wanted to achieve.
What do you mean "boring personality"? Boring people are usually those bored with themselves. Maybe it's not exactly what pushes people away from you. I don't know.
Looking good is great. I've been through a stage of declining the importance of the appearance, but it turned out it was much more fun to use it to express yourself. So I ended up dyeing my hair blue and pretending I was a smart doll. But I still only do it to please myself, not someone else. Too lazy to waste time trying to get everyone like me.
What I meant is that, despite being a really smart, rather good looking guy, studying medicine, knowing a lot about a lot, I just never have anything to say or tell that would be more then very slightly entertaining. I'm just not interesting - and being aware of that, I tend to get silent and shy. Which makes it even harder to discover the little I have to offer.
so, I try to compensate at least a little with having a good physique and style. Maybe I can at least look interesting. While, of course, I maintain my own style. I am a very aesthetical person, I care a lot about a sense of style, and am also very vain. Probably because I#ve got a rather fragile self esteem.
See, I'm one of those who got raised very lonely by a very intellectualised family, which turned me shy and socially awkward. Which, in turn, made me being mobbed and crushed my self esteem until I turned 15 / 16, when my high IQ got discovered. Anyway, I changed and became attractive and extroverted when the German equivalent of high school was almost over - leaving me kinda scarred and insecure in the core. I have no idea why I'm annoying you with that, btw, I just think I really need to talk to someone. ^^
First, you aren't annoying me. Funny, but your statement about being boring made me extremely curious.
I understand how you feel, for my problems are in many ways similar. I have a hard time making friends, too, and no idea about the reasons of this. I don't think it's because I'm boring, though. (And I don't think this is your problem, either.) I might be too eccentric. I'm also quite picky and critical, which involves, above all, relationships.
I feel so sorry for those people who meet me for the first time, surrounded by ten-minute awkward silence, having me next to them with a weird wide smile staring silently. That's when you feel you have nothing to say, despite all your hobbies and braininess. On the other hand, I can talk for hours if inspired.
It depends on your company, too. I'm not surprised by the fact I never got along with some of my classmates whose interests ranged from alcohol to boyfriends. That's ok. That's annoyingly common. And even if you're a really intelligent person, some people won't even take a glance at you.
So, if you were looking for some kind of advice, then, well, I'm terribly sorry... It's nice to talk to someone like that, anyway. :3
(and a good time to laught about the rules of fashion)
